Leonard Lea Frazer

Leonard Lea Frazer was born and raised in Vancouver, BC where he attended school.  At age 17 he left home to become a “deckhand” on a 20,000 ton Norwegian freighter and spent the next two years travelling around the world five times.  It was during this time that his interest in writing and photography took off.  When he returned home to Canada he settled in BC’s Interior.

Leonard later worked as a magazine editor, newspaper editor and community photographer in Valemount.  In recent years, as a freelance writer/photographer, he completed stories for The Prince George Citizen and BC Parks after moving to Prince George.  His “Caribou Joe” episodic history series has been published in five different newspapers and in 2013 was compiled into a soft-covered book.  He has also self-published “Fiji Sunrise” (2013), “Valemount Museum – A History” (2014), and “Deckboy – A Nordic Adventure”(2015).  Leonard currently contributes feature stories to The Valley Sentinel and is working on the history of forgotten sawmills in the Robson Valley.
