BREAK AND ENTER
On June 27, 2017 Valemount RCMP were notified of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Loseth Rd. Police responded and were unable to locate the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was wanted out of Alberta for several firearms offences. The next day another call was received of a residence close to where the vehicle was parked with an opened door. Police attended and found the house had been broken into. Later that afternoon the owner, from Alberta, called police to advise she believed someone to still be in her residence. Police attended again and did not locate anyone. The house was severely damaged and various items taken.
A short time later, a Valemount RCMP officer located a male walking behind the residence and was subsequently arrested for break and enter. Members stayed in the area and located the suspicious vehicle from a few nights prior. The driver was arrested a short time later, after he fled from police.
