The Valemount Timberwolves first played LDSS (Lakes District) on Friday afternoon, winning with a score of 54 – 49.

Early Saturday the Timberwolves took on NVSS (Nechako Valley), with the guest team defeating Valemount with a score of 63 – 49.

Valemount did justice in their last game of the day against Northside Christian School (Vanderhoof), but the game wasn’t a give-away.

It was tight up to the second period with a score of Valemount 22 and Northside 21.

The guest team was gaining ground over Valemount during the third, widening the gap by the end of the period with a score of 36 to 29.

With a close and heated back-and-forth final period, Valemount finally triumphed over Northside with a score of 47 to 46 – an awesome action-packed finale.

The Zone Championships are taking place in a couple of weeks in Vanderhoof, and if the Timberwolves place First or Second in their zone, they’ll be going to the Provincials in Chilliwack in March.

Go Timberwolves!
