The bugling of a bull elk is a true call of the wild and music to my ears. A large dominant bull like this one may have 12 or more cows in his harem and will try to call in more. The rutting season typically lasts from late August until mid October. During this time when "love is in the air" the bulls can become extremely aggressive to other bulls as well as humans.

The history of our great country Canada depicted here in vibrant, living (literally) colour. From our Indigenous history to gold panners to voyageurs this spectacular display is part of many at the Mosai Canada 150 exhibit in Gatineau Que. Each display is actually a composition of multitudes of plants.
