CanGEA is working towards increasing awareness and promoting geothermal development across the border in Alberta.

On November 1 they gave the first of a series of presentations on geothermal energy to the TsuuT’ina Nation in Hinton, AB.  The series, entitled “What About Geothermal?” is meant to address and correct common misconceptions about geothermal development, as well as highlighting its potential benefits.

The workshops include handing out surveys to attendees at the end of each session to help in planning future ones. Responses so far have already been positive.

Other workshops planned for Alberta include Calgary on December 1, Lethbridge on December 8, and in Leduc on December 15.

The public is welcome to attend, and CanGEA members are eligible for a discount on registration.
