Have you seen Dennis Gudmundson?

By Daniel Betts

According to Constable Lesley Smith, Media Relations Officer – BC RCMP Communications North District an extensive search by the RCMP and Search and Rescue personnel continues for missing Keremeos, B.C. motorcyclist, Dennis Gordon Gudmundson, who has been missing for 5 days now. Gudmundson was reported overdue to the Keremeos RCMP on July 8th, 2012 after he failed to arrive as planned.

Investigators have since pinged his cell phone and due to the last known signal, believe Gudmundson may be in the Blue River area by Valemount B.C. The fact the Gudmundson has not tried to contact his family or friends is very much out of character.

RCMP Air Services along with Search and Rescue have been covering the vast forest and numerous logging service roads and trails that encompass the area.

“We are asking families who are out camping this weekend to please keep an eye out for Mr. Gudmundson or his motorcycle,” stated Constable Smith. “There are so many campsites and service roads that need to be explored and we hope that someone may come across a clue that can lead us to Mr. Gudmundson’s location.”

Above: On Friday, June 13 at about 5:30 p.m, RCMP Air Services Helicopter, AIR 4, takes off from Yellowhead Helicopter's Helipad near Valemount B.C., after spending much of the day searching along Highway 5.
